ROOMMATE AGREEMENT

All roommate pairs must complete a roommate agreement. No agreement is permitted to contain clauses that allow for the violation of any University or Residence Life Policy.

The areas of discussion below are the areas as indentified as common causes of conflict between roommates. As you write your agreement, be specific in order to avoid misunderstandings. Your RA will collect the form and it will be kept on file. If conflicts do occur, roommates are expected to make every effort to communicate and resolve issues before bringing to a staff member. If you have tried to communicate and are having difficulty, contact your RA for assistance in mediating the situation. Your RA will refer to this agreement form as part of helping roommates find a solution.
