1.  FREIGHT CHARGES

Orders less than 9,600 lbs. (less than 2,400 pound pallets or tote equivalent) in any combination of product packaging may be shipped freight charges prepaid and added to the invoice as a separate line item.

Orders of 9,600 lbs. or more in any combination of product packaging shall be shipped freight charges prepaid and included in the unit price.

Three (3) or less delivery locations for a customer may be specified on a single order and drop shipment charges will not apply.

For the purpose of determining shipping costs, one pallet equals 2,400 lbs. Tote weights shall be equal to the actual amount of product placed into the container, when filled to the proper fill line. A 50 lb. bag will be filled to equal 50 lbs. of product. Any weight described in this IFB shall mean the product “net weight” in standard US Measure.

2.  Truckload, Less-than-truckload, and bag

A Truckload (TL) will consist of (10) or more pallets, or 24,000 lbs. of product. Any amount less than 24,000 lbs. is designated as less-than-truckload (LTL).

3.  Delivery Requirements

All deliveries are to be made to the location(s) listed on the purchase order. Non-WSDOT authorized purchasers should indicate delivery location(s) on their purchase order.

Delivery locations for WSDOT include, but are not limited to, those listed in the table below. The State reserves the right to add or delete WSDOT locations at its discretion free of charge.

**Beads shall be delivered with vendor provided forklift at this site. The state reserves the right to modify these locations without extra charge to the state.

Contractor shall provide purchaser 48-hour notice prior to delivery. Notification and delivery shall be made during normal work hours of the purchaser. Purchaser reserves the right to refuse shipments delivered outside normal working hours unless previous arrangements have been approved.

For WSDOT: Regular working hours are Monday through Thursday, 7am – 3pm, excluding Washington State recognized holidays. Deliveries are not accepted on Friday without prior arrangements.

All orders shall be delivered on flatbed trucks. All pallets or totes shall be forklift accessible. At delivery, pallet loads shall be straight and stable and suitable for re-shipping without further adjustment.

4.  ACCEPTANCE OF MATERIALS

The Purchaser’s inspection of all materials upon delivery is for the sole purpose of identification. Such inspection shall not be construed as final acceptance or as acceptance of the material, if materials do not conform to contractual requirements. If there are any apparent defects in the materials at the time of delivery, the Purchaser will promptly notify the Contractor. Without limiting any other rights, the Purchaser may require the Contractor to:

·  Repair or replace, at Contractor’s expense, any or all of the damaged goods, or

·  Refund the price of any or all of the damaged goods, or

·  Accept the return of any or all of the damaged goods.
