Regional Impact Coordinator is sought for the non-profit Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC) collaborative to administer the Regional Impact work within the Youth Engagement Strategy of the Georgia Youth Opportunities Initiative (GYOI), an initiative of MAAC. The role of the Regional Impact Coordinator is to work closely with, supervise and develop a team of youth leaders with lived experience in foster care and adult supporters representing EmpowerMEnt in 14 regions of the state, in conjunction with another MAAC position/professional supporting this role. Other GYOI administrative support responsibilities may apply. Must have experience working with youth who have been involved in the foster care, mental health, and/or juvenile justice systems. Bachelor’s degree minimum required, with a preference for social work-related degree.

The Georgia Youth Opportunities Initiative is a collaborative effort between young people, public, private, and nonprofit organizations, working to improve outcomes for youth transitioning out of foster care. Services are provided to youth ranging in age from 14-26 targeting improvements in the following areas: permanency, employment, education, housing, social capital, financial capability, physical and mental health. The vision is that all young people leaving care will make a successful transition to adulthood, as defined by them.

The Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC) is a private non-profit collaborative of numerous agencies serving children and adolescents ages 3-21 and their families. Most of the youth served through MAAC have significant histories of abuse, neglect, mental health challenges and are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS) and/or the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). In collaboration with nine partner agencies, MAAC provides care coordination to youth who might otherwise be in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) or youth who are at a high risk for out of community placement.

· Ability to organize small scale meetings and large scale conferences.

· Able to learn and implement new technologies and software, including communications (social media, etc.)

Roles

· Supervise and manage development of EmpowerMEnt in 14 regions of the state, in partnership with another position

· Coach young adults and adult supporters in designated regions in leading their local goals and efforts

· Develop and sustain community resources, partnerships and relationships

· Program Development, Administration and Sustainability

· Program Evaluation (to include data entry)

· Program facilitation of activities and projects (large and small scale) associated with Regional Impact

· Participating and contributing member of the GYOI Initiatives team

· Implementing key communication activities as part of EmpowerMEnt member recruitment, retention, resource-sharing

· Administrative Support for management and governance with GYOI (Leadership Team, Advisory Team, Fund Development, Community Partnership Group)

Responsibilities

· Supervision and coaching for young adults and adult supporters in each of 14 regions, in partnership with another position

· Training and orientation of young leaders and adult supporters, to include students interning at MAAC

· Communication with partners of the Georgia Youth Opportunities Initiative and EmpowerMEnt

· Coordination and implementation of media and communications on behalf of EmpowerMEnt, to include creation and consistent distribution of newsletter, administration of social media, etc. - in close collaboration with overall GYOI/MAAC efforts

· Data Entry in Efforts To Outcomes (ETO) as well as broader evaluation activities (Annual Plan, Regional Assessment, etc.)

· Adherence to deadlines

· Consistent attendance and active participation in GYOI and MAAC meetings applicable to Regional Impact Coordinator

· Partnership/Resource Development, especially at the Regional level

· Administrative Support for management and governance with GYOI (Leadership Team, Advisory Team, Fund Development, Community Partnership Group)

· Training and coaching with youth who are participating in EmpowerMEnt – helping youth understand, express and advocate voice and choice; help educate and equip adult supporters in their role(s)

· Other fundraising/development activities to sustain the program

· Coordination/facilitation of a variety of training and community engagement activities with youth (i.e. conferences, panels)

· Advocacy surrounding state and local policy initiatives – in collaboration with Public Will and Policy/GYOI

· Support GYOI initiatives, its staff and other duties/coverage as assigned as an active, involved member of the team
