1.) Purchase 600 4X6 notecards (before 3rd class period)

2.) Order Barron’s AP Psychology Test review book (need by mid Sept.)

3.) Complete “about you” questions

4.) Look through the pictures, charts, graphs .etc within the text, read the captions and write down 4 (1-3 sentence) summaries of the pictures, charts or graphs that you found most interesting or that made you think: “I’m looking forward to getting into this stuff”.

5.) Read through the course syllabus and bring in any questions that you may have.

6.) At the bottom of this sheet provide at least FOUR examples of how consumer psychologists try to manipulate your mind so that you buy their product. Example: “3 easy payments of $39.99 seems less expensive than the real cost of $120”. Think about infomercials, commercials, billboards, magazine ads, salesman techniques, catch phrases, product placements in stores, sales .etc.
