We are searching for a Project Manager reporting to the Director of Information Technology. The primary role of the Project Manager is to provide leadership to the department as it moves forward on an exciting new project.

Accountabilities:

·  Work collaboratively with key stakeholders. Lead in the adaptation and management of project implementation.

·  Optimize the use of information technology to support project operations.

·  Responsible for managing all phases of the project life-cycle to ensure the project is completed on-time and on-budget.

·  Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to project.

·  Create overall project plan and timeline.

·  Act as resource for user problems and participate in the development of solutions to those problems. Consult with vendor as required.

·  Conduct post-implementation reviews as part of on-going project management quality improvement.

·  Track and report status on all initiatives and work plans.

·  Manage receipt, tracking and reporting on program and contract procedures, program and contract governance and controls such as change order.

·  Coordinate activities of the various program leadership, initiative leads and on-site team leaders

·  Maintain program resources and budget tracking tools.

·  Assures accurate and timely preparation and maintenance of all monthly and/or annual program accountings, forecasts and budgets.

·  Assures maintenance of all program contract files.

·  Planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work of the Plexxus and Hospital project team members involved with the project, in order to meet the project requirements (time, functionality, quality and cost).

·  Guide the team in the execution of the project by ensuring that all deliverables are completed to meet the project’s objectives and user requirements.

·  Guiding all aspects of the project including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, establishing milestones, deliverables and budgets.

·  Tracking all decisions made regarding change requests, identified risks and outstanding items.

·  Acting as the primary liaison point with staff and rented facilities’ management for the duration of the Delivery Project with regards to charges, service, room bookings, infrastructure.

·  Acting as the primary liaison point with the CGI Project Manager.

·  Analyzing weekly work reports and task completion reports to highlight discrepancies, effective use of resources or time/$ constraints in completing the project.

·  Tracking, monitoring and communicating project progress against the project plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes and milestones.

·  Ensuring timely delivery of regular project status updates to the Project Director and Steering Committee.

·  Providing support and mentoring to team leads to promote project management skills and experience.

·  Analyzing invoices for accuracy and completeness, and provide recommendations to the Director re authorization.

·  Participating in weekly progress status meetings or other group meetings and assist Plexxus Team leads in the completion of their status reports.

·  Forecasting, managing and reporting on internal project resources (people, capital, expenses).

·  Developing presentation materials for the ITS Steering Committee and Executive Committee as required.

·  Analyzing and managing project changes, including design/scope change requests.

·  Planning and facilitating project team meetings, including agendas and minutes.

Candidate Qualifications:

·  A Computer Science/Health Informatics or equivalent degree or work related experience.

·  5-7 years progressive experience managing IT projects and teams

·  3-5 years recent business/clinical experience in a health care environment

·  Knowledgeable re various PC applications, software and network technologies.

·  Proficiency in MS-Project

·  Certification i.e. PMP would be an asset.

·  Results oriented and able to work effectively in fast paced environment.

·  Excellent liaison and interpersonal skills.

·  Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to set and meet priorities.

·  Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

·  Experience with full life cycle implementations, blueprint design, project realization, post go-live support. Integration and cross-module application knowledge are mandatory, preferably with IS-Oil experience.
