There are so many problems with sending humans into space on interplanetary voyages that it will be many years before people set foot on another planet. One problem with sending people into space is water. Humans require a lot of water and water is very heavy, making it expensive to transport. Another problem that interplanetary explorers will have is boredom. The voyage between planets will take years to complete. In that time, the astronauts will be trapped within the small living space of their ship. A third problem that interplanetary explorers face is sanitation. These explorers will not be able to shower or bathe, creating an unpleasant environment for everyone. A fourth problem that they will be faced with is gravity. Living in zero gravity has many bad health effects such as weakening bones. Finally, the most serious problem they will have is that there will be no help available when something goes wrong. If someone is sick or injured, they will be unable to get to a hospital. If the ship breaks down, it will be impossible to rescue the astronauts. In short, space exploration by humans is more expensive, inconvenient, and dangerous. ______
