Press Release Incident: Motor Vehicle Crash

On Monday, July 9, 2012 the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash which occurred at approximately 8:35 am on the Black Horse Pike at Ridge Avenue, in the Cardiff section of the township.

A 1999 Oldsmobile operated by Katherine Lubiejewski, 64 years of age of Egg Harbor Township, was traveling west on the Black Horse Pike when a Nissan Altima crossed the Pike, at Ridge Avenue, directly into Lubiejewski’s path.

The 2003 Nissan Altima operated by Henry Encisco, 43 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, was traveling south of Ridge Avenue. Encisco stopped at the stop sign at the Black Horse Pike and then continued across the Pike into the path of Lubiejewski’s vehicle.

Lubiejewski and Encisco were treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad. Lubiejewski was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus and Encisco was transported to Shore Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Traffic was effected for a short time while the crash was being investigated and cleared. Encisco was issued motor vehicle summons for failure to stop and yield at a stop sign. The crash was investigated by Officer Louis Poletis.
