POSITION: Income Maintenance Supervisor II

Duties Performed: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Supervisor in the Economic Services Unit overseeing the Food and Nutrition Services, Work First Family Assistance, and Program Integrity program areas. This position will directly supervise agency staff who determine / redetermine applicant / client eligibility for benefits to individuals seeking Economic Services assistance including those provided under all Food and Nutrition Services, Work First and Program Integrity programs; will assure continuing compliance with program requirements as a subject matter expert for IMC II & IMC III staff and agency director; and will provide technical expertise in NC Fast. In addition, this position serves as the agency’s designated Coordinator for Energy Programs; Disaster Services; Safety Programs; Civil Rights / Limited English Proficiency / Americans with Disabilities Act; and supervises the Program Integrity program. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and provision of information on Economic Services programs to update agency website and organizing and coordinating agency Economic Services participation in various community events during special emphasis months. The supervisor teaches and models practice standards that are consistent with federal and state statutes, Administrative Rules, and Division policy and is responsible for providing oversight to Income Maintenance casework performed by all of the workers.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

STARTING SALARY: Income Maintenance Supervisor II Grade 21 $29,749
