Please borrow some keys from the other PE teachers and LOCK the changing room. J

The girls are coming to the end of their unit on cricket, If this is a PE teacher they need to be shown the pull stroke and be given time to practice.

Warm up: ask the girls for a warm up game of their choice or see attached sheet for games.

If the relief teacher is not familiar with cricket, the girls can play crocodile cricket, ( inside or outside) as set up below:

You will need 2 cones, 1 bat, 4 hoops and 1 tennis ball. H= hoop, C= cone

Split the class into two teams.

Then centre cone is the bowler and then one on the back line is the batter. The bowler, bowls the ball either under or over arm, however must bounce in front of the batter. Once hit or missed the batter runs to the first hoop leaving the bat behind. The second batter bats, and again gets a free pass to first base. Whenever the ball is bowled the students who have batted can leave the bases and try and get to the next one. When a student makes it to fourth base they score 1 run. Time 10minutes per team and then rotate fielder and batters.

Rules:

There can’t be any more than 3 batting students per base.

Students are out if they are caught running when the ball has been fielded back to the bowler.

No one can be caught out ( as they get a free pass to base 1)

Students waiting on bases can hold hands and try to get further to the next base, however at least one person must remain in contact with the hoop.

Any students that cause you any issues please write their name below!
