Stretford High is a non-selective, 11-16 Co Educational International School. The School is a Specialist Language College, is an outstanding ITT provider (MMU), holds Consultant School Status and works in partnership with Lancashire County Cricket Club and Manchester United Foundation. A Director of English is required to assist the Governors and Headteacher in establishing and delivering a vision for the school, to ensure that every child succeeds. The successful candidate will be appointed to raise achievement, lead, develop and manage outstanding English provision for learners needs, to ensure that young people leave Stretford High School with the necessary skills and qualifications in English to be able to succeed. The post-holder will need to have the knowledge, confidence, ability and skill to lead, influence and take staff, students and families with them; to help to deliver an outstanding level of education for young people.
