Paper Chain Bracelets

Folding each link (paper):

Note: I cut the papers 4” x 1 3/4” out of semi-transparent oregami. They are the size of the gum wrappers from pieces of Wrigley’s or Juicy Fruit Gum.

1) Fold in half to look like a hot dog.

2) Unfold to see center line.

3) Fold bottom to center

4) Fold top to center

5) Fold in half on first fold you made for number one

6) Fold in half (side to side)

7) Unfold to see center line

8) Fold right to center

9) Fold left to center

10) Fold in half on the center line from step number six.

Looking at the side, it should look like a V.

To link them together:

Each paper should have 2 legs of the V

and then in each leg is a slot that goes through.

Using 2 pieces, Put the legs of one through the slots on the other.

Should look like this.

The next one will go through the slots of the last one.

It will form a zigzag effect.

Finishing the Bracelet:

Once it is long enough to fit around your wrist, punch a whole at the 2 ends.

Lace a 9” piece of yarn through the wholes.

String both ends through a bead.

Tie a double knot at the ends of the yarn.
