Nano-house ----group design project

In future years the world will confront a range of issues such as:

·  Greater energy requirements

·  Water shortages

·  Further pollution of air and water

·  Fossil fuel shortages

·  Resource shortages

·  Disease due to multi antibiotic resistant bacteria

Your task is to design a house of the future that incorporates at least four different nanotechnologies that can help to solve these issues.

You should explain what the nanotechnology application is, how it works and how it will help to solve one of the problems above.

You should also include details you can find about potential manufacturers’, costs and current technologies that are similar to your proposed innovation.

Your groups’ presentation can take the form of:

·  A sale brochure

·  An infomercial

·  A tour through a virtual house

·  Annotated floor plan

See Assessment Rubric on the page below
