WEST HANGAR AREA INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION – PHASE III

BOB SIKES AIRPORT
OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County will receive sealed quotes at the Office of the Okaloosa County Purchasing Department, Attn: Richard Brannon, 602-C North Pearl Street, Crestview, Florida 32536 until 4:00 PM (local time) on February 22, 2008, for the West Hangar Area Infrastructure Expansion – Phase III – Bob Sikes Airport, at which time and place all quotes will be publicly opened and read aloud. Quotes must be submitted in a sealed enveloped clearly marked “QUOTE ENCLOSED- WEST HANGAR AREA INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION – PHASE III, BOB SIKES AIRPORT.”
The project consists of all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Construction of Taxilane K; installation of 2” PVC waterline; installation of 8” DIP pipe for floor drains; installation of 8” PVC for sanitary, installation of associated water and sanitary service laterals, and the installation of new fire hydrant assemblies.
Beginning on February 5, 2008, drawings, specifications, and project documents may be examined at the Office of the Okaloosa County Purchasing Department, 602-C North Pearl St., Crestview, Florida 32536. Beginning on February 5, 2008, copies of the above documents may be obtained from the offices of AVCON, INC., 320 Bayshore Drive, #A, Niceville, Florida, 32578, (850) 678-0050.
Funding for this project is being provided, in part, by the Florida Department of Transportation and will be subject to all applicable requirements and grant assurances of the Department.
A PreQuote Conference and site visit will be conducted at the Bob Sikes Airport FAA Building, 5551 John Givens Rd., Crestview, FL 32539 on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. (local time). Questions relating to the Project Documents will be answered at that time. Attendance by prospective prime contractors is strongly recommended.
