Advantage Dental acquires Hayden Family Dentistry , rea lizing its goal of a statewide Dental N etwork
REDMOND , Ore. – Advantage Dental announced today completion of acquiring the assets of Hayden Family Dentistry Group and many of its affiliated companies, including West Coast Dental and Oregon Professional PC. The companies will become a part of The Advantage Community of Companies.
Under the terms of the agreement, Advantage Dental will also acquire Hayden Dental’s Oregon Health Plan contract and its approximately 60,000 recipients as well as its clinic network. The transaction was completed July 31st. The terms of the agreement were not announced but did include ownership and management committee positions for Hayden owners Matt and Ross Hayden.
Hayden Dental is based in Eugene, Oregon with dental clinics in Hermiston, Portland, Tigard, Salem, Eugene, Florence, Bend, North Bend, Medford, Klamath Falls, Heppner and Boardman. As well as providing dental care for more than 60,000 Oregon Health Plan patients, Hayden also provides care for a large commercial patient population.
“Merging with Hayden Dental will make Advantage Dental more competitive and helps grow our dental network in all markets,” said Advantage Dental President and CEO Mike Shirtcliff. “Through its partnership with Hayden Family Dentistry, Advantage Dental will be close to reaching its goal of a statewide network.”
Advantage Dental is a community-based, dentist-owned cooperative. Based in Redmond Oregon, Advantage Dental offers dental care to more than 58,000 Oregon Health Plan recipients through its contract with the State of Oregon. Advantage also serves more than 80,000 commercial patients through its exclusive dental network agreement with PacificSource Health Plans.
The Advantage Dental Network includes more than 650 owner and contracted dentists throughout Oregon, Idaho and Washington. The acquisition and merger with Hayden will give Advantage Dental a total Medicaid dental membership of approximately 120,000 lives.
