When did you start playing lacrosse?

- When I was 11 years old. I started at school because it was compulsory for two years, but I couldn’t stop playing once I started

How do you prepare for a match?

- I like to be very organised. Do I have my water? Is my gumshield in my left sock? Do I have food snacks? I also go quiet for a bit reminding myself of things to remember during a match and getting myself focused.

What is your lacrosse goal or dream?

- To play at an international level and be a valuable player on the pitch when I do.

How do you manage to balance your studies and training schedule?

- With difficulty, although it is completely possible with time management. Planning is incredibly key and I wouldn’t know what was going on without my useful little pocket diary.

Who inspires you?

- Sad as it sounds, my Mum inspires me. She is self-made with her own company, but also works for my Dad when she’s needed. She has just been made a Livery Man with the Freedom of the City for her Card company. She has three difficult children (4 if you count my Dad) for which she has never missed a sports match, music rehearsal or play. She cooks, cleans and runs the house completely on her own. She has done major charity fundraising, organising a huge ball, cycling from Lands’ End to John O’Groats by herself and numerous charity walks.

What is your favourite saying or quote?

- Hard work will beat talent, if talent doesn’t work hard.
