Scholarship Application

Eligibility Criteria:
·  Plan to enroll in 9 units or more during the upcoming semester in a Study Abroad program, and provide proof of acceptance in a study abroad program through the MiraCosta Institute of International Perspectives (IIP)
·  Must be currently enrolled at MiraCosta College in 6 units or more with a GPA of 2.0 or greater
·  Have financial need
·  Must have already have completed 2transfer credit Art* courses at MiraCosta; such as, painting, drawing, architecture, ceramics, sculpture, etc.(not including Art History)
·  Personal Statement, MiraCosta unofficial transcript, and proof of acceptance from IIP are required
Personal Statement
Personal statement must be typed, double-spaced, no more than two-pages with your name and MiraCosta ID# at the top of each page, and stapled to the scholarship application. Scholarship awards are based on meeting the criteria and your Personal Statement. Address each of the following areas in your essay:
·  Career and Educational Goals
·  Extracurricular Activities (ex: employment, volunteer work, memberships, sports activities, etc.)
·  How will the scholarship benefit you, and what do you intend to study or see in Great Britain or Europe
·  Other Information you would like to share about yourself (ex: financial need, overcame a hardship, parent, military, etc.)
