Please choose one word problem to solve in your math journals. Please show your work. When you are done with one problem you may move onto the others. We will discuss these tomorrow.

1) Each cement block weighs 0.9 kilograms. How much do 6 blocks weigh in total?

2) Each month, Shalee's family eats 9.6 pounds of granola. How many pounds of granola will Shalee's family eat in 2 months? How many pounds of granola will they eat in a year?

3) An Augustana science class places weights on a scale during an experiment. Each weight weighs 0.3 kilograms. If the class puts 6 weights on the scale at the same time, what will the scale read?

4) Each piece of cardboard is 1.8 centimeters thick. If Mr. Petrich stacks 8 pieces of cardboard on top of one another, how thick will the stack be?
