Alumnae New Member Application

The MLLES Alumnae, Inc. (The Alumnae) is a 501 (c)(3) charity comprised of former Mademoiselles who joined forces to uplift the Mademoiselle Social & Service Club (The Club) through annual programming and scholarships. The Alumnae is successful solely because of its dedicated membership of volunteers. We seek former Mademoiselles who are willing to dedicate their time to give back to the organization that helped form the woman she is today.

Once a member has applied for membership, she will be added to the respective listserv. Members are encouraged to check their email at least twice/week for information regarding upcoming events. Members are informed of meetings, conference calls, events and volunteer opportunities.

Alumnae Eligibility Criteria:

· Any former Mademoiselle who graduated from an Official Mademoiselle chapter

· Must fundraise $250 by March 1 of each academic year for the Annual Conference

· Must participate on a Committee (committees listed below)

· Must attend the Annual Planning Meeting held each December

· Must volunteer at the Annual Conference held each April

· Must market any and all Alumnae events

· Proof of membership in an Official Mademoiselle Chapter may be requested.

Committees:

Food: Select caterers and menu for the Annual Conference. Work as Point of Contact for all food needs, including paper ware, drinks, etc. at the Annual Conference.

Fundraising: Work with the Co-Directors to plan the annual budget. Plan two annual fundraisers and oversee February’s Dine & Donate Month, where chapters host benefit nights at local restaurants to fundraise for the Annual Conference.

Hospitality: Work with local vendors to provide t-shirts, presenter gifts, alumnae appreciation gifts, etc. for the Annual Conference.

Marketing: Contact local media to cover Alumnae and Club events. Write press releases and newsletters, update website, design fliers, etc.

Membership: Develop programs and events to recruit and retain members.

Mentor: Serve as a mentor for an Official Mademoiselle Chapter. Help plan the annual Officers Retreat. If interested, please request a Mentor Application form.

My Sister’s Closet: Plan and execute a store of donated, gently-worn business ware for The Club.

Programs: Design and print the Annual Conference Programs.

Registration: Collect data via forms, surveys, etc. for and during the Annual Conference.

Scholarship: Provide information regarding MLLES and other scholarships to The Club. Plan the annual College Prep Workshop.
