· Directed projects to improve nuclear power plant efficiency, including; Lube Oil Systems, High Pressure Air systems, Diesel engine rebuild, Vent Value Rebuild, Evaporator, Turbine Generator Testing, and Refrigeration units

· Planned and executed over 20 reactor start up and shut downs.

· As Diving Division Officer for 5 commissioned and noncommissioned officers planned and executed 30 successful dives in foreign a domestic ports with zero outside assistance

· Successful completion of Nuclear Engineering Officer examination

6/05 to 9/06 – Naval Nuclear Power School/ Prototype /Submarine Officer Basic Course: Developed theoretical and operational skills necessary to operate, maintain, and critically troubleshoot primary and secondary nuclear plant systems. Learned leadership skills such as team organization, motivation, and mission accomplishment.

9/01 to 6/05 - ROTC Midshipmen, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

· Planned and conducted numerous tactical and warfare briefs to follow Midshipmen

9/98 to 9/01 – Culinary Mess Specialist 2nd Class: Independently responsible for daily preparation of three daily meals for a crew of 130. Responsible for daily arrangement for supplies for the next day and developed a new accountability matrix resulting in 95% accuracy of food supplies, the highest marks earned in 10 years on the submarine. Earned enlisted submarine warfare insignia in record time.

· Selected as Submarine Culinary Specialist of the Year 1996

· Selected as twice as Junior Enlisted Sailor of the Quarter
