2017-2018 Invitational Institute TEACHER APPLICATION INFORMATION

Applications due March 1, 2017—multiple parts will require planning ahead.

Part 1: IF YOU WISH TO EARN GRADUATE CREDIT FOR THE LWP SUMMER INSTITUTE, complete the College of Ed online scholarship application, www.louisville.edu/edu (Choose financial aid and then choose online scholarship application.) If you are not currently attending UofL, you will also need to complete an application for Graduate School (also available at www.louisville.edu.).

This deadline is generally March 1 each spring, but watch the Education Advising Center website for changes. Contact Tammy Albers, for assistance. IMPORTANT NOTE: You are required to submit a FAFSA as part of this process.

Part 2: Complete paper application (may be mailed, emailed or scanned/faxed) to Jean Wolph, CEHD 105, 1905 S. 1st Street, UofL, Louisville, KY 40292, ; 502-852-4634.

Part 3: Have your principal or supervisor complete the recommendation form and submit separately to Jean Wolph (see above).

After submitting this application, you will receive an emailed acknowledgement. If you do not hear, please email . You will also receive an interview appointment, scheduled for mid- to late March. Please make sure you can commit fully to the LWP Summer Institute experience, which can result in 6- to 9-graduate credits:

·  Apr. 21-23, 2017: Required “Boot Camp” Orientation Weekend, Rough River State Resort Park (food and lodging provided)

·  May 2017: Coaching appointments (TBA)

·  June 12-30, 2017: Summer Institute, 8 am—3:30 pm daily, + 1 evening potluck

·  2 LWP Mini-Conferences (September 9, 2017 and January 13, 2018)

·  2 State Conferences (KWP, September (tba) and KCTE, February 2018)

·  6 Saturday Sessions during the 2017-18 school year (selected by the group)

·  Summer 2018 Retreat/Advanced Institute (tba by group)

·  Note: Graduate credit recorded by June 2018. (Keep this sheet for your records.)
