Highlights of Perry Travel Basketball

Perry Travel Basketball is designed to promote the game of basketball within the Perry Community by training and developing our youth basketball players. Our players are in grades 4, 5, & 6 and compete against other community based teams throughout Northeast Ohio (including Madison, Geneva, Concord, and Kirtland). The regular season consists of 10 games starting on 11/16, which are generally played on Sundays (some Saturdays as well). There will be a single elimination playoff at the conclusion of t.he regular season, followed by tournament play from mid February to early March. All practices and home games will take place in the Competition Gym (high school), Manchester West or Perry Middle School. It is our goal that the majority of games will be played at Perry, but some travel will be required (mainly for tournaments).

Tryouts will be held on Sunday 10/20 from 5-6:30pm and Tuesday 10/22 from 6:30pm-8 pm for the girls and Sunday 10/20 from 6:30-8pm and Monday 10/21 from 6:30-8 pm for the boys. While it would be ideal for players to attend both dates, they are required to attend at least one of the tryout dates. We will attempt to have one team per age group, based on how many try out and will combine grades when in the best interest of the program.

Our travel players are encouraged to join Perry Rec. Basketball if they would like.

Perry Rec. registration for basketball ends on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Also, if you are interested in being a head coach or assistant coach for a team, please contact Mark Edwards before the tryouts are held.

Thank you
