Job Summary
Responsible for partnering with Hiring Managers to anticipate and meet WinCo’s evolving needs and identify and hire the best talent to the organization. The position will participate in and guiding hiring managers through the selection process for positions throughout the company, including hourly and salary positions at the corporate office and divisions, new store recruits, and store locations as needed. Work will include external outreach such as establishing and maintaining relationships with external resources, implementing tools to assess candidates, conducting reference checks, making job offers and various applicant correspondence. Perform other related work.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build relationships with all hiring managers and lead them through the process to attract, identify, interview and select qualified candidates.
· Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills. Advise hiring managers on overall hiring process and advise on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques.
· Assist and counsel store, distribution center and general office management in interpreting and applying company policies related to hiring practices.
· Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of recruiting activities designed to enhance WinCo’s ability to attract and retain qualified employees.
· Participate in job and career fairs, recruitment informational sessions, and other recruitment events as well as coordinate opportunities for recruitment events and relationships for store locations in need of assistance.
· Recommend alternative recruitment strategies that support WinCo’s goals and objectives. Determines best approach to source quality candidates and continue to develop and maintain alternative recruiting resources.
· Develop recruitment advertising. Create job postings and advertisement for electronic job boards and other online resources.
· Coordinate and schedule interviews and related travel arrangements.
· Screen and refer internal and external candidates, conduct and lead the interview process, manage debrief discussions, selection and offer processes. Maintain close contact with hiring managers throughout the process.
· Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and potential career opportunities.
· Maintain accurate applicant recordkeeping including additional knowledge, skills, abilities, interests, test results, and other data pertinent to selection and referral of applicants.
· Conduct regular follow-up with Managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
· Continuously review and make recommendations to improve recruitment and selection processes.
· Utilize the Internet, resume databases and other direct sources of candidates to keep hiring costs down.
· Perform and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, Agency policies and the professional standards. Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Requirements
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Marketing, or a related degree, OR equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience demonstrating considerable knowledge of Human Resources recruiting experience in addition to experience listed below.
Experience:
· Minimum of five (5) years recruitment experience demonstrating good knowledge of hiring practices and recruitment strategies.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
· Demonstrating excellent organizational skills, effective oral/written communication and the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
· Creativity and the proven ability to successfully use networking, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and sourcing sites to find candidates
· Developing and executing effective recruiting strategies to include proactively sourcing and identifying methods to attract candidates through a strong focus on networking, relationship building and the use of the most up-to-date recruiting technologies.
· Implementing practices utilizing a thorough understanding of current employment and labor laws.
· Utilizing online application tracking systems, software programs, social media and other IT solutions for recruiting purposes.
· Exceptional customer service and professionalism.
· Conducting basic research, analyzing data and preparing recommendations.
· Exhibiting flexible and proactive problem solving skills to achieve results in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, also able to function effectively working independently
· Demonstrating initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills (multi-tasking).
· Accepting direction from multiple sources and effectively managing time to ensure deadlines are met.

· Demonstrating proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.

· Provide value-added recruiting-related advice to hiring managers and influence talent decisions

· Review, design, redesign employment/recruitment programs to support meeting and exceeding the company’s strategic goals.
· Be highly organized and detail oriented.

· Advise hiring managers on overall hiring process, collaborate on job details, and advise on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques
· Screen and shortlist candidates, conduct and lead the interview process, manage debrief discussions and job offer processes, including compensation recommendations and offer negotiations.
· Be highly adaptable to change.
· Travel overnight, for a week at a time on a frequent basis to meet business needs.
· Work at least 40 hours/week with flexibility to work additional hours (evenings/weekends) as needed to meet recruitment needs.
· Perform all tasks with integrity and dependability.
Machines and Equipment Operated:
· Office machines (multi-line telephone, computer terminal, copier/scanner, 10-key, fax machine, etc.).
Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:
· Five (5) or more years in a Human Resource Specialist or similar role with primary responsibility for recruiting activities for position at all levels of an organization.
