Looney Tunes stars TWEETY and SYLVESTER to bring their adventures to Dubai at City Centre Mirdif

DSS World Premiere show to feature the popular cartoon character duo in an entertaining stage show format - written and produced exclusively for Dubai Summer Surprises 2015

Fans of the successful American animated series, Looney Tunes, have plenty to look forward to during the 18th edition of the much-awaited summer extravaganza Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which is bringing to residents and audiences the World Premiere of a number of stage shows featuring the series’ iconic cartoon characters, including the ‘TWEETY & SYLVESTER in “Night-time capers”’ stage show.

Organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), DSS 2015 will take place from 23 July to 5 September, under the theme ‘45 Days of Summer’, offering fantastic shopping, entertainment, leisure and winning opportunities for residents and visitors from around the world.

Written and produced especially for DSS audiences, the TWEETY & SYLVESTER in “Night-time capers” show will feature a hilarious narrative brought to life by spectacular sound and light effects. The story will see the ever-starving Sylvester dreaming about his favourite meal, TWEETY and making every attempt to lure the brainy bird out of his cage. Always a step ahead of Sylvester, TWEETY makes for an impossible chase. In a desperate last attempt, SYLVESTER will move his hands on the ‘Eat and Sleep’ clock, resulting in chaos leading to Granny waking up to the sound of the alarm.

Fans of the two Looney Tunes characters can join in the fun at City Centre Mirdif from 29 July to 7 August to find out if SYLVESTER will ever be successful in catching TWEETY or if the adorable bird will win the day again. The three 20-minute shows will take place at 5:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm daily. Each of the shows will be followed by a fun-filled Meet-and-Greet session for youngsters to enjoy a personal moment with their favourite characters.

Another treat in the form a series of workshops and activities is another bonus in store for young admirers of TWEETY and SYLVESTER. From 2pm until 10pm, kids can check out a number of activities including entering TWEETY’S Cage’, chilling out in a dedicated area to watch classic TWEETY shows, and workshops like TWEETY birdcage making, SYLVESTER mask making, Putty Cat card making, and TWEETY & SYLVESTER templates for coloring.

Super stars TWEETY bird and SYLVESTER cat – two of the series’ highly popular mischief-makers are set to bring a great deal of cartoon adventures and fun to DSS, in addition to the two other Looney Tunes shows happening during DSS, including Daffy Duck & Taz in “What Stole My Chicken?” running at Mall of the Emirates until 26 July and BUGS BUNNY in “Wun Wabbit Wun” at City Centre Deira, taking place from 8 -17 August.
