Day trip # T1037 – Tuesday 28th July

Gwavas Forest- $85.00

I recently have had an opportunity to travel the roads within the Gwavas Forest. These are private roads, and only accessible by permit. Usually you can only travel these roads through the weekend when there are no logging trucks, and only during winter to alleviate any concern for forest fire. The views are spectacular. The roads are generally in excellent condition. Bryce the “gate keeper” has kindly offered to guide us through the maze of roads and give a talk on the scale of this operation. He has also arranged especially for us a visual of a logging skid in operation, something that is not open to the public. It is fascinating. Afterwards we travel to Tikokino for lunch in the Tavern and then return you to your homes.

The cost of this trip includes pick ups and drop offs, coach travel, entrance fees, lunch. Full payment is required on the day of travel.

Half Day Trip #T1038 – Sunday 2nd August

Sunday Drive - $35.00

The bus will collect you after lunch and take you to a destination unknown to you but known by the driver.

Disney on Ice. We have a 5pm performance show on the Sunday evening. Te Papa is interesting all year round as exhibits change frequently, however currently the exhibition to see is Gallipoli.

We collect you from your door this morning and travel directly to Wellington. There will be comfort stops and a lunch break on the way. The show is at 5pm this afternoon, so I have arranged a late meal at our accommodation after the show.

Day 2 Monday 3rd August

A relaxing start to the day today. You can go for a walk through Wellington streets and shops as they open or just have a sleep in. Breakfast is available in the morning. The coach will transport you to Te Papa. The Gallipoli exhibition is open to the public and you are not allowed to take any bags in to the area. Broadway & Beyond –$85.00

Four’s Company have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, NEW YORK. Yes invited! So they are raising funds to take the entire group from Hawke’s Bay To CARNEGIE HALL. What an adventure for them! The dynamic performers of Four’s Company present a showcase of musical hits, with fun arrangements and clever choreography of well- known Broadway favourites like “Fiddler on the Roof”and “Godspell”, just to name a couple. The ticket fee goes straight in to their fundraising pool.

We collect you from your doors this morning and take you to the Farmers Market in Hastings where there is always so much to see. Lovely food to purchase, or just take in the ambience of this market that has been running very successfully on Sundays for a long time. Then we move on to Number 5 for a light lunch before taking you to the Playhouse Theatre.

After the concert we return you to your doors having been well entertained.

Overseas Tour #T1047 – 2nd -10th October

Port Douglas and Great Barrier Reef - $3995.00

It is so cold as I design this brochure and my desire to visit somewhere warm is overwhelming, so we are off to North Queensland to visit Port Douglas and The Great Barrier Reef.

We are required to stay in Auckland on 2nd October before our flights are direct to Cairns on the 3rd October with a transfer to Port Douglas.

Flights into Cairns and then a transfer to Port Douglas. Accommodation has been arranged at Mantra Portsea. Twin share rooms and a continental breakfast each morning. On our day of arrival we will not plan any activities as I feel we will need to get accustomed to the tropical heat, and it will also be a great day to explore our hotel and surroundings. On the return we fly into Auckland late on the evening of the 9th so we stay another night in Auckland before returning to Hawke’s Bay on the 10th.
