Dear Parents,

Technology is coming to your child’s classroom! LCCS has purchased Google Chromebooks which are cloud based laptops. All work will be saved off-site on a secure server. Using their Google account, students will be able to log onto any computer to access their work. Additionally, Chromebooks will be loaded with educational apps to support their learning.

We need your support which will ensure a smooth roll-out and use of the Chromebooks in the classroom.

Ø Discuss, sign, and return the Signature Page of the Computer User Guidelines which is attached. Keep the guidelines at home.

Ø Every student needs to bring in a computer headset. They can be purchased anywhere including drug and discount stores. Headsets need to cover both ears and have a microphone jack which is standard. They should also have a microphone. Place headset in a zip lock bag with your child’s name and give to your homeroom teacher.
