Idaho Nursing Action Coalition

Invitational for Chief Nursing Officers, Nursing Deans and Directors

Meeting Goals:

· To have a shared understanding of INAC statewide activities to date.

· To update participants on the IDOL grant.

· To review and endorse the INAC draft of the Idaho Nursing Academic Progression Strategic Plan.

· To dialogue with IDOL and other stakeholders to develop the biannual Idaho Nursing Workforce Report queries and outcome expectations.

· To learn from the New Mexico experience with Academic Progression.

· To understand Idaho Board of Education role and guidelines specific to nursing education.

· To have discussion between schools on uniformity that promotes student movement between programs.

· To have discussion between CNOs on employment methods to promote academic progression.

· To discuss future grant opportunities for Idaho nursing.
