COMMITTEE REPORT AND ACTIONS:

a)  Transportation Committee. New “push to talk” cell phones are being used.

MUNICIPAL AGENT REPORT: John Sullivan reported the SCAN will have information on Home Depots-Kids Clinics (once a month), and Lowes-Kids Workshops (held twice a month). He will look into North Central Area Agency on the Aging (NCAAA) Grants for bus radios.

OLD BUSINESS:

a)  Update on Senior Center Radio Equipment. Roger Nelson reported on his meeting with The Windsor Locks Emergency Department and Vic Puia. In addition to the bus radios, the bus drivers are now using the new “push to talk” cell phones, but the law states they must pull off the road or park. There is a proposal to make all three buses with the same radio set up, mount a new antenna on the senior center roof, replace the base, and add a remote base in the center office for a total $4625. Training for the drivers will be done with the chief of police. Discussion on communications and safety.

Barbara Sullivan made a motion to purchase the full proposal/package for a total of $4625, seconded by Frances Urbank, the motion passed unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Frances Urbank asked about meetings for July and August. Presently they are not scheduled for those months. She also mentioned that November is the month we review our Bylaws and Policies and Procedures. Members with updates should present them during the November meeting.

ADJOURNMENT:

Upon a motion by Frances Urbank and seconded by Roger Nelson the meeting adjourned at 7:41 P.M.

Respectfully Submitted,

______
