Hi Parents/Guardians:
It’s hard to believe we only have 2 months left of school. Let’s all try to stay focused and finish strong. We were definitely very busy in April:
· Our whole school visited Mr. Derksen’s art show in an exchange district studio on April 8th. Our art teacher had his sculptures there as well as art work done by his daughter Odia who just recently had a baby. Congratulations to the family and also to Mr. Derksen on the birth of his first granddaughter.
· We had our annual fundraising banquet on April 16th at Calvary Temple. Our Calvary Temple choir performed and students from both campuses performed and gave testimonies. Thanks to our students for helping us out in various ways at this important event.
· Thanks to the parents who came out to our PAC (parent advisory council) meeting on April 22nd. We had a good discussion about some important issues facing the school.
· We accompanied our Gr. 10 students to visit other schools to help them transition at the end of this year: Argyle, Tec Voc and R.B. Russell. We want our students to continue on with their education and wish them well in the future.
· Congratulations to our 2 students of the month for April: Heaven-Leigh McCallum and Vicky Clyne.
