ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS DUE TO SCHOOL COUNSELING BY February 1, 2013
· Capital One Access Opportunity:
o High school seniors; applicants must show academic improvement during the senior year; must begin senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher; acceptance to 2 or 4-year college or university; community service/extracurricular involvement; significant financial need.
o One $5,000 scholarship per HCPS high school, paid out over a 2-year period
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· Baldacci Education Fund, Honoring Joyce and Rudy Baldacci:
o High school seniors; financial need; continue education beyond high school; advanced studies diploma; minimum GPA of 3.0; leadership skills and commitment to school and community.
o One $2,000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· Dr. Jo Lynne S. DeMary Scholarship:
o High school seniors; planning to obtain a Virginia teaching license in math, science, exceptional education, or ESL; financial need; minimum GPA of 3.0; leadership qualities; desire to teach in VA.
o One $1,000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· Governor James S. Gilmore, III, Future Educators Scholarship:
o High school seniors; planning to pursue a program of study that will lead to a teaching certificate; standard or advanced studies diploma; minimum GPA of 3.0; leadership and service to school and community; co-curricular activities, such as Future Teachers’ of America Club; desire to teach in Henrico County.
o One $2,000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· Police Memorial Scholarship:
o High school senior; planning to pursue a program of study that will lead to a career in law enforcement/criminal justice; standard or advanced studies diploma; minimum GPA of 2.5; leadership skills and commitment to school and community service; involvement in co-curricular activities.
o One $1,000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis

· Benjamin J. Lambert, III, Scholarship Fund:
o High school seniors; evidence of leadership skills and a commitment to school and community service; pursue further study or training beyond high school; standard or advanced studies diploma; minimum GPA of 3.0; involvement in co-curricular activities; financial need.
o One $1,000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· The Thomas Peyton “TJ” Berry Memorial Scholarship
o High school senior; planning to pursue program of study that will lead to a career in criminal justice and law enforcement; pursuing college ROTC with plans for military career, nursing, forensic science: fire science; emergency service (EMT, EMS, paramedic); standard or advanced studies diploma; minimum GPA of 2.75; evidence of commitment to school and community service; applicants pursuing college ROTC must have completed 2 years JROTC
o One $1000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· Henrico School Librarians Learning for Life Scholarship
o High school seniors; continue education beyond high school; standard or advanced studies diploma; minimum GPA of 2.5; Enrolled in Henrico County Public Schools for at least 3 years; Submit evidence of a commitment to the promotion of libraries and literacy.
o One $1,000 scholarship winner from county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
· Midas of Richmond Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship
o High school seniors; planning to pursue a future in education, public service or the nonprofit sector; targeted for students having a desire to give back to the Richmond community; priority may be given to students attending college in the Richmond area.
o Three $4,000 scholarship winners selected from the county
o Return completed application to Ms. Francis
