Fill generated much enthusiasm among partners and trade representatives alike at the leading plastics trade fair Euromold in Frankfurt from 29 November to 2 December 2011. The Austrian company is making a significant contribution to progress in plastics production with its new developments in the field of tool technologies and process automation. A great many visitors were won over on the Fill exhibition stand by the innovative tool and machine technologies, as well as new quality assurance options.

Frankfurt/Gurten, 05 December 2011 – The international composites industry gathered in Frankfurt from 29 November to 2 December 2011 on the occasion of Euromold 2011. At this showcase exhibition, the Austrian high-tech company Fill made a convincing impression with new product developments and automation solutions.

"The optimal interaction between tool and machine engineering plays a decisive role in all product life phases," emphasizes CEO Andreas Fill.

Plastics expertise from a single source

From the preforming process to ultrasonic inspection, Fill provides its customers with efficient production systems for custom-made solutions. The production stages fiber & preforming, forming, machining and testing are perfectly coordinated with one another. This increases productivity and quality substantially. With its "Smart Vision Solution", Fill is integrating a quality management tool for optical insertion monitoring. These systems are integrated into production systems without impairing the flow of production. Position detection, type recognition, testing for completeness, and quality control are performed with the Smart Vision Solution. Fill provides this expertise for all production processes.

Solutions for demanding applications

In the field of preforming, the "preformliner" former allows 2-D parts to be transformed into a customer-defined 3-D free form in a reliable, fully automatic process. What distinguishes the preformliner is short cycle times, high repeatability, low-warpage textile handling, and high-precision introduction of heat into the textile. The production of lightweight components is gaining in importance in the field of composite and automotive engineering. Fill develops and supplies special presses with integrated resin metering systems for this purpose. These guarantee excellent ergonomics and optimal conditions for automation. At Euromold 2011, the international composites industry was won over by the comprehensive solutions "made by Fill."
