Birthday Buddies
Ongoing / 5-20 / Sponsor a birthday party at one of the seven Clubs for all of the children’s whose birthday fall in that month. Provide healthy snacks and play party games with Club members.
Clean-up/Maintenance projects
Ongoing / 20+ / Examples include organizing storage closets, painting walls, weeding gardens, prepping softball fields, clearing trails, and building benches.
Scavenger Hunt
Spring & Summer / 5-20 / Help to organize a scavenger hunt with riddles and problems children have to solve in order to find items. The goal is for children to get active, have fun, and using critical thinking skills.
Read & Feed Day
Summer-anytime / 5-20 / Work in small groups with young Club members on literacy skills. Serve healthy snacks.
Kickball with the Kids
anytime / 5-20 / Organize a kickball, soccer, basketball, etc. tournament or game with Club members followed by a cookout or healthy snack.
Holiday Party
Ongoing / 5-20 / Sponsor a holiday party at a Club for 20-30 members who regularly attend Power Hour or A/B Honor Roll! (example: St. Patrick’s Day Party- green sorbet & ginger ale floats and a lucky charm scavenger hunt)
Sport Equipment/ Art Supply Drives
Ongoing / 20+ / Organize a sports equipment or art supply drive to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs. List provided. Deliver supplies to Club and help organize them.
Day of the Dead 5k
November / 20+ / Man water stations, set up tents, help with registration, direct traffic along the course, stuff race bags, etc.
Holiday Helpers
December 2013 / 5-20 / Help wrap 100+presents for the annual Kiwanis Christmas Party. Adopt ten (or more!) Club members to purchase complete holiday wish lists for.
Appetite 4 Art Set up
April 11th (Not in 2017) / 15-30 / Help prepare Marbles Kids Museum to host a Boys & Girls Clubs special event by setting up event displays, tables, decorations, etc.
Be a part of an Annual Campaign team
Feb-May / 5-20 / Join the Annual Campaign to help raise operating funds for Boys & Girls Clubs. Goal=$2,500 per team.
