Plainfield High School Mission Statement:

Course Description:

This Pre-Calculus course will review and expand on all algebraic and circular function concepts. This will be followed by pre-calculus topics including all topics covered in Trigonometry, such as trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, and algebraic functions. A basic introduction of calculus is also provided.

Course Objectives:

· Understand and describe patterns and functional relationships.

· Represent and analyze quantitative relationships in a variety of ways.

· Understand that a variety of numerical representations can be used to describe quantitative relationships. .

Algebra II McDougal Littell

Required Materials:

· Textbook

· Pen or Pencil

· Notebook

· Calculator (TI 84+)

Assignment Overview:

· Functions

· Polynomial and Rational Functions

· Exponential and Logarithmic Functions

· Trigonometry

· Analytic Trigonometry

· Oblique Triangles

Policies:

· Homework is given everyday

· Two Tardy and you receive a detention

· Classroom see attached

Attendance:

· When a student is absent 7 or more times from class in any semester, he/she will receive a 10 point reduction in grade. If you do miss a class for any reason please make sure you talk to a classmate to get any missing notes/assignments.

Grading:

· Participation 10%

· Homework 15%

· Quizzes 30%

· Test 45%
