2. SGA Update – Chelsey Fox was absent, but President Curtis read her report. The SGA executive board had a meeting yesterday where the new constitution and bylaws were approved. The students will vote on the new constitution and bylaws in the fall. All campuses are getting ready for school to start and are planning welcome back activities.
3. Academic Faculty Evaluation Policy – Mardell will gather the changes from Bret Murphy and Lynn Mahlberg. Janie is meeting with Sheri Baker to clarify the form and procedure. The policy on non-tenure vs tenure is of concern to Bret so he will review that part.
4. Faculty Senate Update – no report.
5. Classified Council Update – Joe Micke had nothing to report.
6. Institutional Research Update – Cathy Fulkerson reported she is continuing to gather information on the Climate Survey Sexual Violence for Students and Faculty as part of the Clery Act. There are options she is working on. We can partner with WNC for a price discount and use the instrument they are using. UNR has already done a survey with a 33% response rate and will be doing the survey again in November. We can possibly provide them with our email addresses and they can send the survey out for us at the same time they are doing their survey. We can then get comparable results among northern Nevada institutions, rural vs. urban, etc. Cathy will meet to gather more information on the privacy of data, who would have access to the data, and a memo of understanding. The UNR survey is for the students. Cathy is still investigating what they do for the faculty survey. President’s Council is agreeable to use the UNR survey but we need more information. We need to vet it FERPA and make sure it is ok to do this. Lynn said that we must do this survey. Cathy will continue to pursue solutions and keep PC updated.

· Distance Education – Lisa Frazier reported on the problems in implementing online course evaluations for all courses. It will not be happening this academic year. She will notify faculty and will work on the timeline in other areas. They are implementing the design tools and creating templates for a more consistent updated look with WebCampus. The Alumni Association will partner with Caldwell Banker for the September Wine Walk. Greg is looking at a signature event to fund the operations for the Foundation. He will be asking for volunteers. The first two years will be some kind of dinner hosted on campus with auction items and a variety of things.
