GEORGIA LGBTQ EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR NOMINATION
This award honors an outstanding Georgia educator who is committed to creating an environment free of homophobia in his or her school or school system.
Procedures for Nominations
1. The recipient of the Georgia LGBTQ Educator of the Year Award must be a middle or high school teacher or administrator who has made outstanding contributions to the educational environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students. Teachers and administrators in all Georgia schools are eligible to receive this award.
2. A selection committee will select the winner of the Georgia Educator of the Year Award. The award presentation will be made at the annual KSU LGBTQ Student and Organization Summit on April 18, 2009.
3. The recipient will receive a plaque and a check for $200.
4. Nomination forms and letters of support/supporting materials should be sent to:
