Evonne’s Gift Card Update

It is with much sadness that we announce Evonne's Sandwich Shop (117 Pine St) closed their doors at the end of July and is now out of business. We are extremely grateful for their partnership with our church as we joined efforts to sell sandwich gift cardswhich $3 for every sandwich purchased was given back to St. Paul’s. They truly were a community-oriented business and they will be missed.

Our summer worship services in our Chapel will end on August 30 and beginning in September we will be back in our Sanctuary with our services as follows:

* Spoken Holy Communion will still be

celebrated every Sunday at 8:00 a.m.

* Second worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Holy Communion for this service will continue to be celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All active St. Paul members: in order to keep your membership up-to-date, please remember to complete and return a Holy Communion card (at least once a year) as a record of your Communion. Cards are located in the pews and completed card can be placed in the offering plate. Also, please remember to use your offering envelopes or put your envelope number on your offering checks as a record of your giving. If you haven’t had offering envelopes assigned to you, please contact the church office.
Hospital Visits
If you or someone you know is admitted into the hospital or rehabilitation facility, it is very important to notify the church as soon as possible. You can do this by either:
- calling the church office directly or
- inform the hospital upon admittance that you are a member of St. Paul’s and they will list you under our Pastoral Code 312
PLEASE NOTE: During our transition of calling a new pastor and waiting for an interim pastor, Pastor George Spieker has graciously agreed to do funerals, weddings, and crises for St. Paul’s members.
Office Administrator will be on vacation from
August 10-14 and Sherry Miller will be filling in for her in the mornings. Church Office will be closed in the afternoons. Please leave messages.
It is essential to the success of our festival that all crafts/artwork offered be uniquely handmade by the crafter or artisan. Therefore, no flea market items, resell items, or home party products are permitted at this craft venue, and we reserve the right to refuse table/space assignments for anyone offering such items. In addition, we will limit the amount of repeat crafts/artwork to ensure a wide variety of merchandise is available for purchase.
Table rental is for use of an 8' x 2½' table and participant's space will be based upon number of tables rented. Only one participant per space is allowed, and participants must not encroach on the spaces next to their own. Chairs will be provided or you may bring your own. Please do not bring your own table. Electric will be provided for additional fee if requested, but participants requesting access to electricity are asked to please bring their own power strips and extension cords.
Crafters and artisans may set up on Friday, September 11 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., or Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 a.m. All set-up must be completed by the start of the Applefest at 10 a.m. Breakdown time begins at 2 p.m., and preparing for departure prior to 2 p.m. is strictly prohibited.
St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (hereinafter "the Church") is not responsible for damage or theft to a participant's and/or his/her employee's/agent's personal property, which property includes, but is not limited to, merchandise to be sold, vehicles, chairs, handbags, and/or any other property brought onto the Church's property.
The Church is likewise not responsible for any injuries to participants and/or their agents that may occur on the Church's property.
Additional information, including Applefest rules, will be sent to all participants in early September, and it is for this purpose that we are requesting you please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your Application materials Because space and tables with access to electricity are limited, early registration is recommended. Coordinator & Volunteers needed. Do you ever notice the changes in the altar area of the church? The changes are made to make your worship richer and deeper. Thanks to the Altar Guild, the stage for worship is always current and appropriate. The Altar Guild changes the Paraments - the altar, pulpit and lectern linens -to fit the seasons of the church year. to help us focus our worship. Besides changing the Paraments, the Altar Guild also prepares the elements for Holy Communion. If you would like to be a part of this important service, contact any member of the Worship Committee or call the church office.
