FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

This Year Santa Claus Is A Blast From The Past!

FORT WORTH, Texas (November 24, 2012) –Santa Claus is coming to Texas from a bit farther than the North Pole; this year he’s travelling 150 years to visit from the 1860’s and his first stop is the Texas Civil War Museum in Fort Worth.

The figure of Santa Claus has been a part of Christmas celebrations for centuries; however, it was not until the mid-nineteenth century that the “Jolly Old St. Nick” image would be fully set in place by artists such as Thomas Nast and writers such as Charles Dickens & Clement Moore.

Much as we draw our identity from our past, so Santa Claus draws from centuries of holiday traditions and experiences to present himself before you quite literally straight from the pages of history.

Bring a camera to capture this memorable moment.

Santa Claus will be visiting the Texas Civil War Museum – located at 760 Jim Wright Freeway North, 76108 – on November 24, 2012 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. For more information or for directions to the museum please visit http://www.texascivilwarmuseum.com.
