SIGN UP ON GOODWILL’S ONLINE AUCTION SITE AT SPECIAL EVENT
AND RECEIVE A 20 PERCENT OFF COUPON

Goodwill is holding a special event at its Monona retail store to help shoppers sign up on the Goodwill online auction site, shopgoodwillmadison.com. Those who sign up at this event will receive a 20 percent off coupon good at all Goodwill Industries of South Central Wisconsin stores, through Dec. 30, 2015.

This special event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at the Goodwill store located at 2501 Royal Ave., in Monona.

The shopgoodwillmadison.com auction site is stocked with hundreds of locally donated unique and high-end items such as clothing (many with the original tags attached), art, collectibles, fine china, antiques, furniture, rugs, jewelry, books, musical instruments, sports paraphernalia, toys, electronic equipment and home décor. Over 200 items are added to the site each day. Top bidders can save on shipping costs by picking up their purchases at Goodwill’s corporate office on the east side of Madison.

Shoppers who are unable to attend this special event can sign up any time at shopgoodwill.com/buyers. However, only those who sign up in person during the Aug. 28 event will be eligible for a coupon.

The sale of donated goods through the auction site and neighborhood stores is vital to Goodwill’s ability to provide life-changing services for area individuals with disabilities or other challenges. Eighty-one percent of the organization’s revenue is generated through the sale of donated goods.

Goodwill has operated a store and donation center in Monona for 17 years. As with the eight other Goodwill stores in South Central Wisconsin, the Monona store provides an ever-changing inventory of gently used and new merchandise, at low prices. It follows an “All Brands, One Price” policy on many items of clothing. The adjoining donation center provides area residents with a convenient location where they can donate their unwanted clothing, footwear, household items, books, computer equipment, furniture, etc.
