Qualifications:

You will be responsible for:

· Administers and ensures compliance with Policies and Procedures involving the daily operation of the engineering, security, and PBX departments. Ensures compliance of new construction and renovations with all regulatory agency codes and standards. Reviews code changes and initiates policy programs as necessary to maintain compliance.

· Monitors work quality through the use of inspection reports, ensuring employees meet department standards.

· Participates in the preparation of operating, salary and capital budgets. Maintains compliance of those budgets and the productivity standard set for the departments.

· Supervises schedules and assigns duties to all engineering, security, and PBX department employees and coordinates with other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs.

· Works with the Facilities Director to plan, coordinate and complete all construction, and renovations for Florida Hospital Flagler. Serves as Project Manager during construction, ensuring a high quality project with minimal disruption to patient care.

· Assesses the scope of major repairs, daily activities and construction for impact on patient care. Coordinates with the Facilities Director and Administration as necessary to ensure a safe environment. Maintains a complete understanding of and ensures adherence to all principles of Safety and Risk Management programs and policies.

· Initiates preventative maintenance procedures for all equipment and determines frequency of inspections. Maintains an appropriate and cost effective inventory of supplies and equipment to perform daily assigned duties.

· Conducts staff meetings with department employees on a routine basis to review progress, discuss problems and changes in policy and procedures. Uses independent judgment to adjust/resolve complaints or concerns regarding work assignments, overtime scheduling and other work related issues.

· Participates in the hiring process for the engineering, security, and PBX departments. Provides orientation for new employees and continuing education for all employees.

· Completes employee performance reviews and exercises supervisory authority to discipline employees for misconduct. Initiates the disciplinary process and documents employee work infractions, performance deficiencies and conduct violations.

· Coordinates and directs the provision of high quality security services at Florida Hospital Flagler. Makes recommendations for improvements in the security for Florida Flagler. Completes documentation and follows up on all security-related issues. Provides supplemental security personnel as needed and as directed by department workload demands.

· Implements plans and objectives for TJC, AHCA and other regulatory bodies. Maintains age specific safety precautions.

· Other duties as assigned.

What will you need?

· Associates Degree with least 2 years technical training in building maintenance and construction.

· Equivalent directly related work experience may be substituted for Associates Degree.

· Experience must include air conditioning, heating, ventilating, electrical, plumbing, boiler and chiller operations, and the ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics.

· Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with complex mechanical equipment and systems and have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in building maintenance and construction.

· A minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory capacity is required.

· Driver’s License required

· Good written and verbal communication skills and computer skills required.

· Must have the ability to direct subordinates and responsible for teaching, planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, budgeting and coordinating department projects.
