Holiday Policy

Updated 9/12/07

Full time employees are eligible for six paid holidays per year immediately upon joining the Company. These holidays include:

·  New Years Day

·  Memorial Day

·  4th of July

·  Labor Day

·  Thanksgiving Day

·  Christmas Day

The specific day the holiday is observed may change year to year based on customer and interline needs.

Holidays are paid at a maximum of $60/day for hourly employees and the normal daily rate for salaried. Hourly employees are required to work the scheduled workday proceeding and following the scheduled holiday. If you have a vacation day scheduled for the workday before or after a scheduled holiday that will count as a day worked. However, if you have a sick day on the workday prior to or following a scheduled holiday you will not receive holiday pay for that scheduled holiday.

Effective 5/23/07, non-salaried workers will get time and a half for hours worked on a company holiday. TM's(or corporate managers if not at a terminal) need to inform Payroll (Lori Baldwin & Sheila Tarvis) via e-mail immediately following the holiday of the names and hours worked during the holiday so they can be properly paid for these hours.

EXAMPLE: a third shift dock worker is off for the holiday Sunday night from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday. They are asked to work for a few hours on the holiday (in this example, anytime between 10:00 PM Sunday and 10:00 PM Monday). The need to clock in and out (and, as indicated above, the TM needs to report these Holiday OT hours via e-mail to Lori & Sheila). They will be paid their holiday pay of$60(if eligible) plus time and a half for the hours worked before 10:00 PM Monday, when they resume their normal straight time work week.

For drivers doing non-driving work, they would be paid at time and a half their dock rate. They must clock in and out. For drivers doing driving work, they would be paid their normal Driver Settlement rate plus halftime at their dock rate for the time they were working. They must clock in and out. Drivers will also be paid their holiday pay of $60 (if eligible) in addition to the above.
