2 yards (allows for some extra) background fabric of your choice

Supplies

Sewing Machine that will do free motion

Rotary cutter

Ruler

Iron

Cut away plus midweight stabilizer

Tear away magic stabilizer

#90 needle

Light box (if you have one)

Hoop – preferably 10” or similar (machine embroidery hoop is OK)

Darning foot or free motion foot

Coloring book of your choice (these will be the pictures that you want to thread paint)

Fabric coloring markers

Fine Sharpie marker (I use black)

All kinds of threads – cotton, rayon, poly 40 to 50 wt.

Bobbin thread 60 wt (no pre-wound)
