Environmental Science Syllabus

Mrs. Spoon

Class Procedures:

1. Be in your seat, ready to begin work, when the bell rings.

2. Respect all other people in the classroom --- and their belongings.

3. Remain in your seat unless permission is given otherwise.

4. Raise your hand and wait for permission to talk.

5. Follow instructions the first time they are given.

All rules of the Calhoun County Code of Conduct and White Plains High School will be followed in the classroom. We will do many labs and activities, and safety rules will be strictly enforced.

Materials Needed:

· 3-ring binder, composition book, pencil, graph paper, blue or black pen (NO COLORED PENS!)

· Colored pencils, glue stick, Scotch tape, Post-it notes, and a fine point Sharpie to be turned in to me to complete their tool kits for activities and labs. (Believe me, this is much easier than them keeping up with all this, plus the other items I have already placed in their tool kits, and bringing them to class every day!)

· The following supply donations are very much appreciated, as the students use them almost daily in class and the lab: paper towels, tissues, hand sanitizer, pump hand soap, 6-color pack of highlighters (yellow, orange, pink, green, blue, and purple), and a pack of pastel copy paper.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Grading:

· Tests and quizzes = 60% of total grade

· Homework/classwork, lab work, and projects = 40% of total grade
