Software Update Version 1.52

Introduction
If the software version of your EMP6 is earlier than version 1.52, an update program is now available for download to improve its performance.
Version 1.52 update will provide the following changes:
1. Fixed the situation where pattern data may not be loaded from or saved in the Removable disk folder of the computer because some computers with Windows 8 may not recognize the machine when connecting with USB cable.
To confirm the software version of your EMP6
1. Press the power switch to turn on your machine.
2. Touch "OK" at the animation screen. Then press (Setting Key) on the display.
3. See the software version number displayed at the bottom right.
If the version is already v.1.52 or higher, it is not necessary to update your machine with the program on this page.
How to update your machine’s software
The following three methods are available to update your machine’s software.
A) Update procedure using Floppy disks
B) Update procedure using a computer connection (USB Function)
C) Update procedure using a Compact Flash card
A) Update procedure using Floppy disks
1. Download the following file.
Download FILE (zipped File, size: 682 KB)
2. Decompress (unzip) the downloaded file.
And then you will see a new folder "SPPRG_v152_fd" and the following two files in the folder.
- SPPRG.SA1 and SPPRG.SA2
3. Prepare two floppy disks.
4. Copy the file "SPPRG.SA1" to the first disk, and then, copy the file "SPPRG.SA2" to the second disk.
5. If the EMP6's power is on, turn OFF the EMP6 main power switch.
6. Insert the first floppy disk with the software program "SPPRG.SA1" into EMP6.
7. Turn ON the main power switch while holding the automatic needle threading button.
8. Press the "Floppy Disk" button on the screen.
9. The update process will automatically start.
After “Insert 2nd disk and click OK button.” is displayed, insert the second floppy disk with the software program SPPRG.SA2” and click "OK" button.
10. After "Version up complete! Please shut down." is displayed, turn off the main power switch.
EMP6 will be updated to Version 1.52 and ready to use.
B) Update procedure using a computer connection (USB Function)
1. Download the following file.
Download FILE (zipped File, size: 681 KB)
2. Decompress (unzip) the downloaded file.
And then you will see a new folder "SPPRG_v152_cf_usb" and the following file in the folder.
- SPPRG.SAP
3. Open the "Computer (My Computer)" folder on your computer.
4. If the EMP6's power is on, turn OFF the EMP6 main power switch.
5. Turn ON the main power switch while holding the automatic needle threading button.
6. Connect your computer and the EMP6 with the USB cable.
7. The "Removable Disk" appears in the "Computer (My Computer)" folder on your computer.
Then copy the file "SPPRG.SAP" into the "Removable Disk".
8. The downloading will automatically start and "USB downloading" is displayed.
9. After the "USB download OK." is displayed, the downloading is completed.
10. Press the "USB" button on the screen.
11. The update process will automatically start.
After "Version up complete! Please shut down." is displayed, turn off the main power switch.
EMP6 will be updated to Version 1.52 and is ready to use.
C) Update procedure using a Compact Flash card
1. Download the following file.
Download FILE (zipped File, size: 681 KB)
2. Decompress (unzip) the downloaded file.
And then you will see a new folder "SPPRG_v152_cf_usb" and the following file in the folder.
- SPPRG.SAP
3. Connect the Compact Flash card into your computer.
4. Copy the file "SPPRG.SAP" into the Compact Flash card.
5. If the EMP6's power is on, turn OFF the EMP6 main power switch.
6. Insert the Compact Flash card with the software program "SPPRG.SAP" into the CompactFlash card slot on EMP6.
7. Turn ON the main power switch while holding the automatic needle threading button.
8. Press the "Compact Flash" button on the screen.
9. The update process will automatically start.
After "Version up complete! Please shut down." is displayed, turn off the main power switch.
EMP6 will be updated to Version 1.52 and ready to use.
Error Messages
Error messages / InstructionsVersion up file not found / The EMP6 could not locate the update file. Please ensure that you have inserted the correct file.
For updating with Computer (USB):
Please confirm that the file "SPPRG.SAP" is installed in your Computer.
For updating with Floppy disk:
Please confirm that the file "SPPRG.SA1" (first disk) is in your Floppy disk drive and that file "SPPRG.SA2" (second disk) is on the second floppy disk.
Read data file size error / Update file is corrupt.
For updating with Computer (USB):
Re-download the file "SPPRG.SAP" from the website and repeat the update procedure.
For updating with Compact Flash card:
Re-download the file "SPPRG.SAP" onto a blank compact flash card and repeat the update procedure.
For updating with Floppy disk:
Re-download the file "SPPRG.SA1" or "SPPRG.SA2" onto blank floppy disks.
Old version / The software you are attempting to install is larger than the EMP6's current version. The software you are attempting to install is larger than the EMP6's current version.
Fdd Error / Use 2HD Windows-formatted floppy disk.

Ø Version 1.51 update provided the following changes.
1. Trim key is now active in embroidery settings screen.
2. Corrected the misspellings of the word.
Ø Version 1.50 update provided the following changes.
1. Added function to display Maintenance message.
2. Upgrade enables the machine to use the new Cylinder Frame / Advanced Cap Frame 2. (only for Upgrade Kit users who has purchased upgrade from dealer)
Ø Version 1.41 update provided the following changes.
1. This is the update program for the touch panel adjustment. If the keys on the LCD panel don't respond properly, please install this program before adjusting the touch panel.
Ø Version 1.40 update provided the following changes.
1. Thai language is available additionally.
