September 21, 2016
Dear Student,
You are invited to become a member of the Palmer Ridge High School FBLA Chapter for the 2016-17 school year. FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is an international association of business students with 200,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico. FBLA encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions. Most competitive events include a comprehensive written test over business information and an oral presentation. FBLA is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your critical thinking and problem solving skills. Our FBLA chapter meetings are tentatively scheduled to take place in room 2214 on various Wednesday’s after school from 3pm to 4pm. Meetings will become more regular as we prepare for Districts that are in February. Additional meetings will be scheduled pending the results of the District Conference.
Due to the fact that FBLA is a national association, each member is required to pay District, State and National membership dues of $60.
Please complete the membership form below. Return the signed form, along with payment of $60 to cover all District, State, and National dues (payable to Palmer Ridge High School), to Mrs. Wells in Neighborhood D by Tuesday, November 2nd. If you would like more information about the advantages and opportunities of FBLA membership, please visit www.FBLA-PBL.org.
Sincerely,
Gwendolyn Wells
PRHS FBLA Adviser
