Hatchet Diorama

Picture an important scene from the novel. You are going to recreate that scene.

You will also be writing a one-page paper.

Materials:

Shoe box, colored paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils,

Directions:

1.  Pick an important scene from your novel. Create a diorama of a scene from the novel. For construction of a diorama you will use a shoebox as your stage (this means one long side of the box needs to be removed) and make 3-D characters. The characters must be completed colored. The setting is shown on the inside of the shoebox.

2.  The outside of your box needs to be cover. This means that Nike or whatever brand of shoebox you are using needs to be covered. I should not see the Nike, ect. Your name, the title of the novel, and the title of the scene need to be on the top of the box.

3.  You will write, approximately, a one-page paper that describes the scene and explains its (the scene's) significance to the novel. You will need to tell who is involved in the scene, where the action takes place, explain what is happening, how it is significant to the novel and why you picked the scene.

4.  Extra Credit if paper is typed. When typing the font must be Times New Roman print size 14 and you must have 1in margins. It must also be double-spaced.
