Dean Brawn

From 2004 until just recently, Dean Brawn was a Director and part owner of Calibre Environmental Ltd. (CEL). CEL is a paint recycling company who produces recycled latex paint that is sold across Canada. In early April, Dean sold his share of the company to his partners and is now exploring numerous other opportunities.

While looking for his next great opportunity, Dean provides strategic marketing and communications consulting through Suderam Communications Ltd., sits on a number of boards and committees, and has fed his political appetite managing a Calgary Aldermanic campaign in the recent civic election.

Currently, Dean sits on the volunteer boards of the Recycling Council of Alberta (www.recycle.ab.ca) and Make it Good (www.makeitgood.org). He also serves on the City of Calgary’s “Municipal Development Plan/Calgary Transportation Plan Sustainment Committee” and the “Environmental Advisory Committee”.

Previously Dean has served in executive and other roles on the Boards of the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Green Building Council, University of Calgary Alumni Association, the Senate at the University of Calgary and numerous other volunteer/community organizations; plus, he has been a leader for Scouts Canada.

Prior to his venture in the paint recycling business, Dean's career was as a corporate communications and marketing professional with WestJet, ENMAX Energy, Canadian Regional Airlines, United Farmers of Alberta, AGT/Telus, Armoured Transport, and a local Member of Parliament.
