Servos

Online Registration

Good news! The student registration has now been made easy!! Parents who already have a child enrolled, SERVOS is a secure website that provides a quick and convenient way for reviewing, updating, and approving student and parent information. Each child has been mailed a servos snapcode to begin the online registration process. Go to http://internet.savannah.chatham.k12.ga.us

If you do not have access to the internet you may come in the classroom and complete the forms. Let me know and we can set up a time. Just bring your snapcode. All registration forms online or registration packets must be completed or updated as soon as possible.

Homework

I will be assigning homework daily to review the skills taught in class. It will be returned in your child’s daily blue folder the following day. As part of the daily homework your child will keep a daily reading log. It is very important to get into a routine of reading nightly! Curl up with a good book and read with your child! J

·  Monday - Parents register online for SERVOS! Read a book

·  Tuesday – read a book and math 1.2

·  Wednesday - read a book and math 1.3

·  Thursday – read a book and math 1.4

We will also have our first project:

“All About me Poster”

It will be due on Monday 19th!

Be creative and use pictures!

Make it colorful!!

Be creative and HAVE FUN with

the All About Me Poster!!

Your child will receive his/her school information and daily homework assignments in the blue daily folder. Homework will be assigned daily so please send the folder back and forth to school each day. I will check them each day for homework and parent notes. Nightly reading is part of the daily homework (a book log is provided to record books read). The book logs are used as a percentage of the homework grade. The logs will be turned in on the last Friday of the month. It is crucial at this grade level that your child is participating and exposed to as many activities as possible which support their reading development and understanding. Kids develop a love for reading as they cuddle up with a good book!

Behavior

In our classroom, we will earn tickets for on task appropriate behavior and earn rewards accordingly. In the unfortunate event that a child make does not make a good choice he/ she will receive a verbal warning, then if behavior continues they will lose a ticket and move clip to yellow with a loss of privileges or time out. With a 3rd warning, your child will move clip to red and receive a deficiency. Please talk with your child and sign and return the deficiency the following day. When he/she receives 5 deficiencies, an afterschool detention will be assigned.
