DVP6 presentation guidelines

This assignment requires the use of a Microsoft PowerPoint using Office 365 and will be done in groups. You will find sources online and create a presentation on tips for making a great presentation. Be sure to check the Canvas Collaboration menu to start the document and easily share with classmates.

In order to successfully complete this assignment, you need to know how to complete the following tasks in a Google presentation:

·  Find information online

·  Create presentation

·  Collaborate on document

·  Apply transitions to slides

·  Insert and edit images

·  Apply presentation guidelines principles

Communicate with group member and create an outline for the presentation. You need 15 slides:

·  Title slide is attention getter.

·  Second slide should have agenda for presentation

·  Slides 3-14 are body of presentation

·  Slide 15 is closing

The purpose of the presentation is to inform the audience of tips on making good presentations. There is lots of information online. You should include information about some of the following topics: balance, color choices, font choices, word choices, organization of information, white space/negative space, graphics quality, contrast, layout, balance, charts, use of media (audio and video), focal point, professional looking, alignment, similarity/variety balance, presentation flow, and sequence. You will find more topics as well. Be sure to give credit to the places/authors of information you have found.

One student will create the original presentation and then share it with the others in the group.

·  Title Slide: includes names of all students

·  Slide 2: includes preview of slide show, agenda so audience can follow

·  Slides 3-14: one topic per slide, at least 10 different tips

·  Slide 15: closing

When you are finished with the assignment, proofread carefully for content and for consistency. Apply transitions to slides.

  2. Save as pdf format. Submit this document to the Canvas Assignment. Each member of the Group must submit their own PDF to their own Canvas Assignment to get credit.

Since this is a group assignment, only one member of the group needs to submit. All other students will get credit IF their name is on the title slide.
