Ø  Process for New Program Proposals that go to MnSCU (includes brand new programs and programs changing credit amounts) - do CCOs need to be completed prior to loading to Program Navigator?

Ø  Include a request for approval of a ‘proposal’ rather than an entire program FOR Notice of Intent only – check with MnSCU ??

Ø  Internal program changes — new program outline; no credit changes; intention without CCOs or should the entire package be presented to CC?

Ø  Gale will share the details via email, to be presented to AASC

Course Prefix changes — Donna Marzolf

Ø  Changing course prefix for transfer issues - if the learning outcomes don’t change and only the prefix, why? What are the implications for the college? MnSCU? – full discussion at December CC meeting - conversation needs to continue

10.  Announcements

Ø  Deadline for E-catalog: Programs / February, 2014; CCO’s / March, 2014

Ø  DACUM process – still need to follow internal CCO protocol and CC process

Ø  MnTC Process Changes – Tony Boehler and Brian Fors

Ø  MnSCU is reviewing a change and asking for feedback from Colleges

Ø  Cumbersome process that will slow down approval of transfers

Ø  Currently, MnSCU does not review all CCO’s, only questionable CCO’s

Ø  After presenting and getting approval at CC, must send request to MnSCU for approval, then ok for colleges to run the course

Ø  Colleges can run course after CC approval, but if not be approved by MnSCU, then the transfer is not allowable

Ø  Back door way to make changes rather than address the issue up front

Ø  Gale will create a response and present to the Curriculum Committee, then respond to MnSCU

Ø  Upcoming Deadlines for eCatalog: Program Changes that require MnSCU approval / January CC meeting
