SUBJECT: Alleghany Highlands-UVa Collaborative Project
We invite you to share your opinion about your child’s school experience. Our school district is participating in the Alleghany Highlands-UVa Collaborative Project, a partnership between the Alleghany Highlands community and the University of Virginia Social Development Lab.
The UVa team is gathering information about students’ experiences in their school to help with planning and future decision-making. Too often, districts make decisions about new programs based on student test scores alone. The UVa team wants to understand the schooling experience from many different perspectives before recommending change. They have already surveyed teachers, administrators and students. Now it is your turn. The UVa team would like to understand the opinions and needs of local families.
We invite you to answer a survey about your experience with your child’s school. The information gathered will remain anonymous and confidential. Your feedback will be used to advise the school district and Alleghany Foundation about beneficial programs and opportunities.
The survey will take you about 15 minutes. Please take the survey only once per family. You may complete this on your smart phone or a computer with access to the internet. You are also welcome to come into your child’s school to take the survey on a school computer.
Please complete the survey by March 4, 2016. Thank you for participating!
