Introduction
I am passionate about fashion, costume and design. Over the past 25 years I have built up a wealth of experience designing, buying and constructing garments for theatre, film and television. My knowledge of period costume is extensive from corsets and bustles, to 50’s foundation garments (a must to get the silhouette right). I am proficient at pattern making and sewing, as I believe to design a garment, you need to know how to put it together from start to finish.
I love contemporary fashion and styling, and get a buzz out of bringing a character to life through costume. I regard myself as a highly motivated person, efficient, a good communicator, able to interpret the Director’s ideas and handle stress in a positive way. I am good at managing money and offer solutions to keep within the budget.

Studied: period costume history & construction for opera and theatre
Skills Developed: corsetry, millinery, proficient sewing, pattern making, dyeing and ageing of costumes.

Skills: Introduction to fast turn around Television. This role involved working under pressure to tight deadlines to dress an extensive key Cast, including new weekly characters.
